Bisbee turquoise + sterling silver

size 9.25

Why Bisbee turquoise is so special:

In 1972, a miner named Bob Matthews was given the only lease ever granted for rights to recover Bisbee Turquoise from a mine that had previously only been use to mine copper, silver and gold in the late 1800's. Bisbee Turquoise is some of the finest Arizona turquoise available; it's unlike any other on Earth with striking blue and green tones in varying shades complemented by chocolate brown matrixes. The Earth no longer produces it and it's highly coveted. Thirty-plus years ago, my grandparents purchased a sizable collection directly from Bob Matthews ranging in shades including the most popular high-grade deep blue with dark chocolate brown matrixes (referred to as Smoky Bisbee). During the pandemic, I had the reputable John Hartman of Durango Silver verify and appraise the collection. According to him, these pieces are extremely reasonably priced for the size of the stone. - Allysia
