An OffCenter Community Arts Project benefit & Lapis Room collaboration

 OffCenter Community Arts Project and Lapis Room are co-hosting Collaborators, a collaborative exhibition and benefit project to support OffCenter Arts’ free community programs. For this project and exhibition, six Lapis Room represented artists and six OffCenter Arts studio artists have been partnered to work collaboratively on a pair of artworks. Each artist pairing has spent 6 weeks collaborating on two 12x12 pieces. Each artist pairing worked together to develop a concept and process that would result in a unique series of connection, shared effort, and collaborative story-telling at the intersection of two unique styles creating a shared voice.

This project serves as a hands-on professional development opportunity for OffCenter Arts community of artists, who will gain the valuable experience of collaborating with professional artists, exhibiting their work,

and engaging with a gallery. Artists donated their time and work to the cause, and 100% of sales go directly to ​OffCenter Arts.

 

OffCenter Arts is a 501c3 non-profit organization serving New Mexico since 2001. Their work is supported through donations, grant funding, and program income – and fundraisers like this exhibition!
