Join us for the opening reception of "Full Circle" by Valentine Viannay.

"I came to America as a struggling artist from London. A friend helped me get a commission for a mural in San Diego and I instantly fell in love with California. I felt welcome from the beginning and quickly realized that even though America hadn't been the plan, it was an opportunity I was given.

This show is a series of vignettes meant to capture key moments in my life since that initial mural: the adventure, the growth, the good and bad times (and the good and bad choices).

The idea is to portray snapshots for each year I've been in the States. Though it is my personal journey, my hope is to make connections through the possibility of shared experience. Perhaps some of these pieces will resonate and help the viewer recall specific moments in their own…
