About the event
Obsidian has long been used in healing rituals for its transformative power.
In this session, multidisiplinary artist, David Kappy, will demonstrate a live drawing using found and foraged materials. Following the demo, Michelle Albino will guide us through a guided meditation where we will explore the yogic history of Shiva—the aspect of spirit that dissolves and destroys to maintain cosmic balance. In Tantric tradition, Shiva clears ignorance, ego, and negativity, creating space for spiritual growth.Michelle will guide the group through a visualization, the energizing breathwork technique Bhastrika (breath of fire), and the mantra practice Kirtan Kriya, which uses the sounds “Sa, Na, Ma, Ta” to represent infinity, life, death, and rebirth—paired with focused breath and rhythmic finger movements.
Bagels and Tea will be provided. Come and join us for a lovely Sunday morning workshop style session!
Limited spaces available.
BOON BOON events are ticketed for non-members and free for members.…
