Join us for this poetry writing session!
The prompt this time will be to read and digest a poem by Emily Dickinson titled "Because I could not stop for death." This poem is one of Emily's most famous works, and one of Lapis Room's artists, Brandon Maldonado, embedded it into one of his artworks.
We'll meditate on both Dickinson and Maldonado then write our own poems in the style of Emily Dickenson and inspired by Maldonado's new body of work that will be in Lapis during this event.
We'll edit our works together! And you'll be intered into a chance to read at our next "Piano + Poetry" First Friday event!
