Eason Eige
Painter. Curator. Collector.
Painting has always been a process in pursuit of better results. From the beginning, I have always worked in series to achieve a body of work worth seeing. You just learn more about painting when you work in series. Ideas flow from one image to next, often resulting in discovery of new techniques.
Eason Eige is a painter, avid collector and writer with a passion for cactus, Navajo and Pueblo jewelry, tribal art, and glass. Born and raised in Iowa, Eason Eige was educated in Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Art History at the Kansas City Art Institute – Parsons and Winterthur. For twenty-one years Eige was chief curator of the Huntington Museum of Art, West Virginia.
